Stage 2: Specify Active Setup Information

In this stage, you will specify which Microsoft download sites you wish to receive your components from, download or update any Microsoft components, and optionally select custom components you wish to include.

You must download Internet Explorer, but you can choose which other components of the Internet Explorer suite and additional programs you want to download. Red, yellow, and green circles indicate whether you have downloaded the components and whether they are the latest versions.

You can also specify up to 10 additional components; they can be self-extracting executable files (*.EXE) or compressed cabinet (*.CAB) files. If you include CAB files, then you must also specify the command to run them upon installation.

If you do not know the Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) for your programs, one can be generated for you by clicking Generate. You can also verify that the components have been digitally signed and are safe to install.
